DRAW

Supplies Needed
-large blank index cards or cardstock
-markers/crayons/colored pencils
-clothesline or string
-clothespins

Let them tell of your great and awesome name— he is holy! (Psalm 99:3, MSG)

Meditate on the passage above, read it again and again, and as you do consider how you might “tell of [God’s] great and awesome name.” How can you describe his holiness? As a form of worship, select one (or more) of the Scripture passages found in the responsive reading section of your worship outline. After you have selected a verse, take a piece of cardstock and some markers and draw a picture of what that verse looks like to you. It may be as literal or abstract as you wish. Try to communicate through your drawing the holiness of God found in that particular verse. At the bottom of your cardstock, write out the passage reference (i.e. Rev. 4:8 or Deut. 10:17). Once you have completed your drawing, hang it on the string using a clothespin. You may repeat this process as many times as you would like. Then, spend some time looking at others artistic interpretations of God’s holiness. Offer up a prayer to God based on your drawing and the drawings of others. Ask him to reveal his holiness to you through these words and images. After you have prayed you may meditate further on these verses or continue on to the next station.
